After my first visit to the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC (April 2008) I started seeing references to Lincoln everywhere.
It seemed that every single day his face or name would pop up in some obscure location, a Simpson’s episode, an invitation to a conference, a rap song etc. This might not seem quite so strange if you live in the USA but I’m in Australia, so it seemed very odd and out of place here.
This blog is an ode to Lincoln in popular culture, and a journal of the strange places I come across him.
